I’ve been working on a book, entitled ”The Superior Man”. To my great regret, I’m not able to spend as much time working on it as I’d like. It’s a financial issue, one I’m sure I share with many other first-time writers.

I was encouraged to publish a ”preview” version of the unfinished book, in the attempt to attract attention to the project, and raise some funding. Right now, the book is about half done, in my estimation, and finishing it would only take a few months if I were allowed to devote myself completely to writing.

So here goes. The preview version of ”The Superior Man” is available on iBooks, and there is also a PDF of it here. The finished book will also be made available on iBooks, and probably elsewhere too if I get suggestions.

I feel I need to be clear about something: This is not a wordy book. I’m told a book of this nature is normally 40 000 words minimum; mine is not likely to reach 30 000. I believe a book about philosophy should be kept rather short. Not so many words, but the right ones.

If you liked the preview, there are two things you can do to support this project:

  • First, I’d appreciate if you spread the word! The more people who read the preview, the better!
  • Second, you can support the project financially. Donate any amount you wish from my PayPal page. If for some reason you prefer a different payment method, drop me a line.
I am prepared to offer a free PDF copy of the finished book to those who donate $20 USD or more; however this requires you to specifically write and ask for one, attaching payment confirmation. While this assures you a copy of the book in your e-mail as soon as it is released, it is not meant to be a bargain. I intend for the eventual online price to be easily affordable.

This page will be updated regularly to let you know how it’s going. If I start getting a lot of correspondence, I’ll add a blog for the project.

However you choose to help, you have my sincere thanks.

  • 2017-10-18 So, after a month and a half, not much has happened. While I have managed to add a couple of chapters to the book, I’m not getting many visitors to this page, or many iBooks downloads either.
  • 2018-04-16 Yes, it’s been another six months, but I have little to report. Guess I overestimated the interest people would have in the project. There have only been six (6) iBooks downloads in total (the number of PDF downloads is unknown). And no comments. A couple more chapters have been added to the book, but without support, it’s very slow work.
